Short-Bio

Changhua Yu is an Associate Professor of Economics and a Boya Youth Scholar at Peking University. He earned his PhD from the University of British Columbia in 2012. Yu has served as a Visiting Research Fellow at the Hong Kong Institute of Monetary Research and the Bank for International Settlements. His research specializes in international finance and macroeconomics. Recently, he has concentrated on topics such as international capital flows and financial crises, the interplay between capital controls, monetary policy, and macroprudential policies, as well as production networks and macroeconomic policies. His work has been published in leading academic journals, including the Review of Economic Studies, Journal of International Economics, Journal of Monetary Economics, The Economic Journal, and Journal of Economic Theory.
